Charles Breene, Chairman of the Board of Brookville Glove and Utilities & Industries, Dies in Car Crash.
Reynoldsville, Pa (July 29,2015)- Today, Brookville Glove Manufacturing and Utilities & Industries are sad to announce our Chairman of the Board, Charles Breene, has passed away. Charles was in a car accident Monday afternoon that claimed his life.
Our hearts here at Brookville Glove and Utilities & Industries are filled with sorrow. CEO Brian Dougherty commented “My heart aches for Charlie’s family. Charlie’s vision and leadership within the companies has been invaluable. He will be greatly missed.”
Charlie was well known in Oil City for his dedication to the community. He was a very active member of the Republican Party in Venango County and will be missed by many. Charlie’s family has been a part of Brookville Glove’s legacy for over half a century; the Breenes also played a role in the founding of Utilities & Industries in 1981. Anyone who knew Charlie was touched by his witty personality, and as a company we feel blessed to have known him and to have worked for him.
Charlie’s viewing will be at the Morrison Funeral Home in Oil City on Friday July 31st from 2-4 and 7-9. His Funeral will be Saturday August 1st at the Christ Episcopal Church.
